چکیده
Construction is a resource-intensive industry where circular economy (CE) essential to minimize global impacts and conserve natural resources. A CE achieves long-term sustainability by enabling materials circulate along the critical supply chains. Accordingly, recent research has proposed paradigm shift towards CE-based sustainability. However, uncertainties caused fluctuating raw material prices, scarce materials, increasing demand, consumers’ expectations, lack of proper waste infrastructure, use wrong recycling technologies all lead complexities in construction (CI). This paper aims determine enablers for sustainable development CI. The system dynamics (SD) approach utilized modeling simulation purposes address associated process complexity. First, using content analysis pertinent literature, ten CI were identified. Then, causality among these was identified via interviews questionnaire surveys, leading causal loop diagram (CLD) systems thinking. CLD 10 shortlisted shows five reinforcing loops one balancing loop. Furthermore, used develop an SD model with two stocks: “Organizational Incentive Schemes” “Policy Support.” An additional stock (“Sustainable Development”) created combined effect stocks. simulated years. findings show that policy support organizational incentive schemes, other enablers, are implementing outcomes this study can help practitioners implement way drives innovation, boosts economic growth, improves competitiveness.
